Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with just over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services in over 11 locations across the Perth Metro, Goldfields and Bunbury region.
Centrecare's Private Rental Advocacy Service provides short term to medium term (3-6 months) to clients who are in private rental accommodation, and at risk of becoming homeless. this includes dealing with rental arrears and consultation, but more importantly the underlying causes to the vulnerability of the tenancy.
This will include working with families and individuals who are experiencing family domestic violence, challenges in relation to drug and alcohol use, mental health, employment and families struggling to meet their tenancy responsibilities in relation to cleanliness and maintenance. In this role, the Case Worker will endeavour to link families to relevant services to address a range of issues including employment, health, financial management and social integration to achieve long term, secure, stable housing.
