ABOUT THE ROLE

The Community Development Worker within the Multicultural Services team plays a pivotal role in championing a diverse and inclusive Northern Beaches community. You'll leverage your strong community engagement skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders such as residents, ethnic community leaders, health and community service organisations, and Council staff. Together, you'll partner and implement capacity-building projects and initiatives that address the community-identified needs of new and established diaspora communities.

This role offers the opportunity to impact people's lives by tackling critical issues like education and employment, housing and homelessness, domestic and family violence, youth support, services for seniors and people with disabilities, and safety.

• 22.5 Hours per week
• Fixed-term contract, ending June 30, 2027
• Some weekend and evening work may be required from time to time

ABOUT YOU

You are a compassionate Community Development Worker with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by migrant, refugee, and diaspora communities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building relationships and connections, as well as strong administrative, leadership, and organisational skills.
