Fair Wood Manager

CERES Community Environment Park

CERES FAIR WOOD IS NO ORDINARY NOT-FOR-PROFIT

Five years ago Fair Wood was a start-up with one employee selling a few packs of timber out of a shared space.

From the outset Fair Wood built strong supplier and customer relationships, stocking a unique range of timbers for building, furniture making, and landscaping.

One of our values is proudly being able to tell our customers where every stick of timber we sell comes from.

Today Fair Wood is a fully-fledged ethical timber operation serving builders, furniture makers, and landscapers run by a diverse and growing team.

Located in a dedicated 1500 sqm warehouse in Preston, CERES Fair Wood acts as an “honest broker” between Australian agro-foresters, local saw millers and salvage saw millers, and an emerging market of green architects, builders, and consumers demanding socially & environmentally responsible timber.

Fair Wood is currently undertaking a pilot urban forestry project and also works closely with the CERES Carpentry and CERES ReBox teams.

As native logging comes to an end this is a pivotal time in the timber industry. More and more sustainability isn’t just another option, it’s the only option.

Fair Wood is an enterprise in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.
