About CERES

CERES Community Environment Park is an award‐winning, not-for‐profit, environment park and urban farm located by Merri Creek in East Brunswick, Melbourne. Once a landfill site and wasteland, today CERES is a thriving, vibrant community.  With over 450,000 visitors a year, CERES is the most visited environmental centre in Australia.

About ceres it

The IT Department at CERES supports more than 80 computers, a mixed on-premise/cloud server infrastructure, printers, and VoIP phones across four sites as well as a number of websites for a wide variety of business areas involved in activities such as sales, education, events, farming and back-of-house operations. Software mostly includes the usual office applications and email; more specialised applications are of great interest for the future.

The physical network in Brunswick East is extensive and complex covering 15 buildings dotted around the 4.5-hectare park with connections comprising a mix of copper, fiber, and wireless bridges. The site also hosts four retail/hospitality enterprises with a total of ten POS stations; as these are open 7 days we provide emergency on-call support on a flexible rotating roster.
