The Craig Family Centre is a community-based organisation that provides services to support individuals and families within the local community.
The Centre offers a broad range of programs including Occasional childcare, 3 year old kindergarten and 4 year old kindergarten, playgroups, community programs and leisure activities. Membership is open to people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and cultural groups.
The Craig Family Centre is an incorporated association managed by an elected Committee of Management. As part of its incorporation process, the Centre identified the need to achieve very high professional standards and aims to achieve these through the delivery of safe, well planned and stimulating programs that respond positively to the individuals and families who use them.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Administration Officer is responsible for general Centre administration, reception, Children Services enrolments, Neighbourhood House enrolments, assisting members access services at the centre and as a general support for the Executive Director and staff.
This position is responsible for managing the Children’s services enrolment and waiting list process as well as assisting families access Child Care Subsidy or other financial support mechanisms. It is anticipated that all community engagement will be carried out in a professional manner and that a positive and professional image of the Centre is projected.
The Administration Officer will assist with the preparation of program material, communication of information, will handle public enquiries, manage centre room hire, and support the general day-to-day administration functions as required for both Children’s Services and Neighbourhood House.
This position is accountable to the Committee of Management via the Executive Director of the Craig Family Centre. The position will be expected to liaise, build relationships and establish networks with staff, community groups, City of Boroondara staff, local community agencies, Centre members and the general community.
Hours negotiable up to 32 hours per week, negotiable to have school holidays off
Paid under the Neighbourhood House collective agreement.
