Coordinate Carer Kafe’s Learning and Development retreats, execute its communications and engagement framework, and provide project support. Ideal for a skilled project officer with strong management and communication abilities.
The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare (the Centre) is the peak body for child and family services in Victoria and Tasmania. For over 100 years we have advocated for the rights of children and young people to be heard, to be safe, to access education and to remain connected to family, community and culture. We represent over 150 community service organisations (CSOs), students and individuals throughout Victoria working across the continuum of child and family services, from prevention and early intervention to the provision of out-of-home care.
The Centre is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and plays a pivotal role in sector capability building.
The Centre is a diverse and inclusive workplace, committed to the health, wellbeing and cultural safety of our staff. We encourage applicants of any background, culture, gender, and experience to apply for roles as they become vacant.
The Centre is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of its staff. The Centre and its staff must comply with a range of statutory requirements including equal opportunity, occupational health and safety and privacy. The Centre requires staff to comply with its policies and procedures and related statutory requirements. Appointees are accountable for completing training on these matters and making sure their knowledge is up to date.
Carer Kafe is funded to provide learning and development opportunities to statutory kinship carers, accredited foster carers and permanent carers across Victoria. The Centre, the Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) and Kinship Carers Victoria (KCV) have come together to form a consortium to guide and deliver the program. Each member of the consortium provides distinctive expertise and knowledge; collectively the consortium is committed to a program that best serves Victorian carers, underpinned by First Nations self determination and effective governance.
Learning and Business Development (LBD) unit is responsible for the development and delivery of accredited and non-accredited learning and development opportunities for community service organisations, allied sectors and government departments working with children, young people and families.
The team works closely with providers to build the capability and suitability of the workforce by identifying and developing learning opportunities that meet industry needs. This team supports the Centre in its business development by nurturing relationships with member agencies, managing a number of large L&BD projects, and submitting funding submissions for training and workforce strengthening projects.
