CF Together is a national organisation dedicated to advancing progress for people living with cystic fibrosis (CF).
Our purpose is to drive progress for all people living with CF in Australia by enabling the CF community to access the best care and support, advocating for change, advancing treatment and finding a cure.
THE ROLE
The Community Fundraising & Events Manager is an integral role in the Fundraising & Partnerships team, responsible for securing funds and growing revenue via community fundraising and events (both in-house and third party). This position is critical in ensuring the growth of CF Together by broadening and strengthening our fundraising base through the development of strong and lasting relationships with our community fundraisers and event attendees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Leadership: Plan, organise, and execute CF Together’s signature events, including the Break a Sweat for CF Walkathon, and more, ensuring they are memorable, impactful, and financially successful.
- Community Engagement: Foster relationships with community fundraisers, inspiring them to run their own events, challenges, and activities. Provide guidance, resources, and support to maximize fundraising potential.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with corporate partners, local businesses, and key stakeholders to drive sponsorships and support for events.
- Marketing & Promotion: Work with the marketing team to develop and implement engaging event promotion strategies, using social media, email marketing, and other channels to drive participation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience in community fundraising, events management, or a related role.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability to innovate and improve events year on year.
- Passion for working in the not-for-profit sector and a commitment to CF Together’s purpose.
