ABOUT THE ROLE

The Consumer Engagement Officer reports to the Senior Consumer Engagement Officer. This role can be in Melbourne or Canberra, with hybrid working arrangements available. The role may involve some interstate travel.

You will support our consumer engagement activities. As part of a small team, you will have exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, and be highly

organised. You will also have a real penchant for helping to develop and maintain systems, processes, guides and resources including use of CRM (Salesforce) and Office 365.

You will aim to deliver best practice consumer engagement. Other key responsibilities are:

  • Maintaining strong connections with our consumers and stakeholders.
  • Timely resolution of issues arising that enhances consumer engagement and builds long-term relationships and trust.
  • Working closely with our Policy team, co-ordinate and ensure smooth implementation of consumer engagement activities and events such as webinars, roundtables etc.
  • Support the delivery of CHF’s educational programs for consumers.
  • Continually measure, report and improve the effectiveness of CHF’s engagement efforts.
  • Maintain data integrity of our CRM, including extraction of reports.
  • Produce, and where required, provide input into relevant reports and ensure any associated timelines are met.

ABOUT YOU

You should have:

  • Commitment to achieving and upholding the CHF vision, mission and values.

  • Relevant experience in customer, consumer or stakeholder engagement activities including an understanding of best practice customer service.

  • Highly developed collaboration, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in coordinating events.

  • Strong attention to detail including supporting the development, maintaining and refining systems and processes to support successful outcomes.

  • Ability to respond flexibly and work in a busy and complex environment where there are competing demands, changing priorities, tight deadlines and limited resources.

  • Proficient level of computer literacy in the use of Microsoft Office, coupled with strong CRM database management skills (Salesforce).
