ABOUT THE ROLE

The Engagement Manager will report to the Director, Advocacy and Engagement. This role can be in Melbourne or Canberra, with hybrid working arrangements available. The role may involve some interstate travel.

You will lead a small team, have exceptional leadership and communication skills and be highly organised. You will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Team and build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and contractors.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Promote and protect the reputation of CHF by ensuring the organisation demonstrates best practice consumer engagement
  • Develop and implement a consumer engagement strategy to increase the number and capacity of CHF’s pool of consumers
  • Develop and implement an engagement strategy to attract and retain members (organisational and individual) through an enhanced member value proposition
  • Working closely with our Policy team, oversee smooth implementation of activities and events such as webinars, roundtables and Special Interest Groups
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders including our Board, executive and team members
  • Continually measure, report and improve the effectiveness of CHF’s engagement efforts
  • Budget, event and people management

ABOUT YOU

You should have:

  • Commitment to achieving and upholding the CHF vision, mission and values.
  • Strong track record in consumer engagement leadership and able to demonstrate successful improvement activities, along with understanding of IAP2 methodology and practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and CRM management.
  • People and budget management experience
  • Ability to respond flexibly and work in a busy and complex environment where there are competing demands, changing priorities, tight deadlines and limited resources.
  • Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Teams, and Acrobat (PDF).
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of the health sector.

Note: You must have the right to work in Australia and demonstrate the absence of a relevant criminal history to be appointed. A current Working with Children’s check is also required. This role is full-time, two-year term.
