Join the Fundraising Team at ChildFund Australia

ChildFund Australia is an independent international development organisation working to reduce poverty for children in developing communities. Our mission is to partner to create communities and systems change, which enables vulnerable children and young people, in all their diversity, to assert and realise their rights.

As Retention Specialist, you will help maximise the retention and value of ChildFund Australia’s individual giving supporters by undertaking campaign management of existing retention programs, developing and testing new retention and engagement strategies, and improving the supporter experience. You will have a key role in the organisation ensuring that donors feel appreciated, engaged and understand their impact on ChildFund Australia’s mission. You will provide a high-quality experience for regular donors that will increase retention, lower attrition and ultimately inspire an increase of regular donations from a highly engaged community of donors.

You will join a growing, but still goldilocks sized team, who are passionate about their work and creative in their approach.

Our team is big enough that there are plenty of people to help you grow your career and have some fun with, but small enough that you aren’t forced to ‘stay in your lane’. It is just right! We have an amazing team of fundraisers who want to push to boundaries and they need your help.

This role is a permanent full time role based in our office in Surry Hills, Sydney. We’re also supportive of flexible working arrangements, including allowing our employees to work-from-home some of those days if the responsibilities of the role permit it.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Donor Retention: Develop and execute innovative strategies to enhance donor loyalty and lifetime value, ensuring that our supporters feel connected to our mission.
  • Lead Impactful Campaigns: Manage and optimise retention campaigns, working with both external partners and internal teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Go Beyond Best Practice: Advocate for excellence in supporter experience at every touch point, driving organisational standards and ensuring a consistent, high-quality donor journey with ChildFund. We don’t want to match what the best in market are doing, we want to push beyond it.

What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for Impact: A genuine drive to make a difference and enhance donor relationships to support our mission.
  • Strategic Vision: Expertise in creating and implementing strategies that effectively boost donor retention and engagement.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong ability to use data insights to refine strategies and drive impactful results.
  • Collaborative Approach: Proven success in working with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Proven ability to manage campaigns including planning, implementation, budget management, monitoring and evaluation.
