CHL is seeking to appoint an appropriately experienced and skilled independent Non-Executive Director (NED) to one of its subsidiary Boards - Community Housing (Tas) Ltd (CHTL). As a valued member of our organisation, the NED will be part of our highly qualified and experienced Board. They will be given the opportunity to confer with key stakeholders involved in the delivery of housing services to make a real difference.
The NED will play a vital role in corporate governance with a wide range of responsibilities including:
The role requires attending approximately 6-10 board meetings per year. As some meetings will be held in person, and an in-depth knowledge of community housing in the state is required, candidates must reside in Tasmania.
Directors’ fees will be paid in accordance with company policy.
First and foremost, to be successful in this role you must have a passion for housing and a clear commitment to achieving strong community housing outcomes together with a desire to provide culturally safe and appropriate housing to low-income persons.
The Board seeks to attract a diversity of skills and would welcome a NED with knowledge and/or experience in any of the following areas: IT, accounting and/or strategic financial management; social and affordable housing development/ management; or social research.
