About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager – ESG & General Counsel, you will be responsible for the implementation of Chobani’s newly developed Social Impact Strategy – To Make a Difference Using Food as a Force for Good. Building upon Chobani's strong foundation of community engagement, this newly created role will focus on delivering greater social impact through our commitment to improving reliable access to nutritious food and improving the livelihoods of underserved communities where we live and work.

What’s involved?

  • Implementation and ongoing review and evolution of the Social Impact strategy and preparation of annual operational plans;
  • Facilitate the development of community engagement plans for all business units;
  • Scope, develop, plan and project manage approved social impact initiatives;
  • Set and maintain key metrics for community engagement and social impact, and actively measuring and reporting on those metrics;
  • Create and nurture lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with non-profits and community groups;
  • Identify potential partnership opportunities through ongoing engagement with stakeholders and manage ongoing partner relationships;
  • Develop, negotiate and maintain partnership agreements and planning streams;
  • Provide ongoing knowledge, insights, research, reporting, updates and recommendations on evolving social impact trends and innovations;
  • Identify and address ongoing social impact risks;
  • Oversee, and where appropriate coordinate, skilled and unskilled volunteering opportunities, fundraising and product donations;
  • Work closely with the People & Culture team to identify and coordinate employee engagement with social impact.

What are we looking for?

This is a fantastic role with plenty of opportunity for growth. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is passionate, innovative, tenacious, community minded and committed to making things happen. In addition, you will also ideally possess:

  • Significant experience working in community engagement, social impact and/or philanthropic sector;
  • Experience in delivering social impact (philanthropic/community) programs, and monitoring, evaluating and reporting to demonstrate impact;
  • Experience acting as an internal and external interface, communicating information and responding to social impact related queries;
  • Experience identifying, building and managing partnerships, and exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills;
  • Experience managing and coordinating projects, community engagements, resources and budgets;
  • Knowledge of philanthropic initiatives and food insecurity in Australia, including the levers for making a change;
  • Strong Social Impact and philanthropic knowledge, expertise and networks;
  • Experienced in developing meaningful metrics and reporting methodologies;
  • Understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including experience presenting to community organisations and executives.
