Circle Nest Pty Ltd is a not for profit, family owned and governed support service that only provides supports to our family. The company is professionally run by Riley’s parents who act as unpaid, voluntary Directors.

We are an innovative support model – different from the usual models of large agencies or independent contractors.

About Riley

Riley is a Dungeons & Dragons Player (enthusiast), anime fan, gaming enthusiast and music lover, a budding comedian and storyteller. He is compassionate and empathetic to those around him.

Our vision for Riley is he is well connected and truly belongs to his community. To work towards his goals, he needs support to communicate, gain confidence in new settings, build and nurture friendships, maintain his good looks, complete life tasks & life administration.

Training

We will provide training in how best to support Riley as well as, positive behaviour support, mentoring and other areas that might benefit your career and Riley.

Duties

  • Support Riley to learn to do household chores, learn to prepare meals and complete bedtime and morning routines.
  • Support members of the community to communicate with Riley
  • Attend meetings to plan and implement ideas for supporting Riley to live his best life
  • Support Riley at social gatherings and recreational activities in the community
  • Assist Riley to attend appointments
  • Assist Riley to form friendships
  • Assist Riley’s to increase his involvement in community-based activities
  • Use our online portals to complete time-sheets, shift reports and collation of data

Your working hours and availability

We are looking for team members with good availability across the week and are keen to work around 20 hours per week, including one inactive overnight shift.

You will need to be available to cover any open shifts due to staff illness or personal leave. This helps our team to be sustainable.

Pay

Pay Rate (depends on qualifications and experience) starting at Casual SCHADS Level 2.1 ($41.76 casual ordinary rate) + allowances + superannuation. See SCHADS pay guide here - Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award [MA000100] - Fair Work Ombudsman.

Required qualifications/certifications

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid or willingness to undertake
  • Successful NDIS workers clearance check
  • Australian resident

Required experience and skills

  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good at following processes
  • Experience working with Neurodivergent people
  • Understands Autism and ADHD
  • Experience with complex needs
  • Confident at building rapport

Desired personal qualities

  • Reliable – an impeccable attendance record
  • An active supporter of including people in ordinary community rather than disability specific, separated and segregated settings.
  • Physically and mentally fit and healthy to cope with the challenge of the role
  • Great at engaging in conversation with people
  • Be a cool, calm person who can think on the spot
  • Looking for a long-term position - at least 2 years
  • Able to work in a collaborative and supportive way within a team
