This exciting opportunity will see the Policy Officer Offshore Wind working directly with the Director Offshore Wind to deliver the CECs offshore wind strategy. The role will work closely with our industry partners and policy leaders to inform the research, development, communication and advocacy of industry policies to progress this nascent but growing industry.
This fast-paced role will build on insight from Australia and abroad and deliver work relating to the establishment of domestic supply chain capabilities, environmental risks, social issues and corporate governance issues, financing mechanisms, and industry coordination. As well as supporting development of specific advocacy projects and campaign strategies across the portfolio to support the industry to establish and thrive.
Specific to the role will be the preparation and distribution of regulatory updates as well as the production of content for reports, briefing papers, submissions, press releases, social media updates and material for various CEC and industry events.
Additionally, the role will connect with stakeholders through attendance at various events and technical forums and lead relevant committees and working groups across the supply chain portfolio (both domestically and internationally), which will include scheduling and convening meetings and managing relevant meeting content.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Applicants looking for part time of 0.8FTE will also be considered.
We're looking for someone who possess a similar policy experience within either government or civil industries. You will have a commercial acumen and some understanding of the strategic issues impacting Australia’s offshore wind industry, and more broadly the renewable energy industry.
