About the role:

The Climate Council is looking for an exceptional fundraiser to join the team as Philanthropy Manager. In this role, you will bring your passion for the cause, and commitment to building meaningful relationships with our major donors, ensuring long term sustainable partnerships are developed and that our donors feel deeply connected to the Climate Council's mission and strategic goals.

You will be responsible for all facets of major gift stewardship, including building and managing a robust donor pipeline, prospect research, major donor events, asking for gifts and reporting back. Alongside this, you will work closely with the Head of Community and Fundraising to provide leadership and strategy support to enhance our fundraising efforts.

This is a full time role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday each week, with the ability to be available outside of ordinary work hours as required.

As a Philanthropy Manager at the climate council you will:

  • Have 3 + years experience working within a relationship fundraising role working with major donors
  • Be able to build meaningful relationships with our major donors and supporters, ensuring long term sustainability
  • Have a strong understanding of, or passion for, the Climate/ Environment sector
  • Have proven experience managing relationships with donors and engaging with diverse supporter groups;
  • Have experience in best practice relationship fundraising and/or leadership and mentoring roles in similar organisations.
  • Experience managing donor and stakeholder information in a CRM system, preferably in Salesforce.
