Use your research skills and ability to summarise evidence to make a difference on climate change for generations to come.
As a Senior Researcher at the Climate Council you will undertake research that demonstrates the momentum that is underway when it comes to the climate solutions we need and the benefits/opportunities this presents to Australians. You will contribute to and lead the development of high quality, evidence-based and accessible content that supports the Climate Council’s strategy and Working Group projects.
You are an excellent written and verbal communicator, who is able to collaborate with all types of people, including our expert Councillors and Fellows, represent the Climate Council at events or media where required, and provide research support for digital and media content.
This is a permanent full-time role, working 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday. We work in a flexible, hybrid environment.
Climate Council is Australia’s own independent, evidence-based organisation on climate science, impacts and solutions. Powered by our incredible community, we advocate for solutions that rapidly reduce climate pollution, and shape the national conversation about the consequences of inaction.
Our vision is that by 2025 Australia’s emissions are on a steep downward trajectory with projects and policies in place to see us cut emissions by 75% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2035.
Our mission is to be a courageous catalyst propelling Australia towards bold, effective action to have emissions plummet during the 2020s and hit net zero by 2035.
