About the role

The payroll officer is responsible for processing cohealth's payroll to ensure the accurate and timely payment to employees with respect of their salaries, wages and all other entitlements. They ensure cohealth's compliance with laws and regulations with respect of its payroll obligations.

Your duties include:

  • Ensure all cohealth staff are paid accurately and on time.
  • Complete all work and payroll processing in accordance with cohealth's established practices, values, polices, procedures, and industrial and legislative obligations.
  • Input all aspects of payroll data entry with a high degree of accuracy including the set-up and maintenance of all payroll records within the companies HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Maintain employee files and payment records, including the filing and archiving of documentation

Our ideal candidate:

  • Experience end-to-end payroll, including experience in working with multiple industrial instruments.
  • Experience in the health industry desired.
  • Proficiency in payroll packages Chris21 /iChris and Dayforce preferred
  • Strong problem solving, reconciliation and analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage varied, high priority tasks within limited time frames.

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
