About the role

The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing quality community-based outpatient Physiotherapy services to individuals and groups within our community. This includes but is not limited to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, CALD, refugee, migrant and marginalised populations, LGBTQI+ communities. This position is well supported by an administration team and interpreting services.

Your duties include:

  • Provide high quality Physiotherapy services to clients in an individual and group setting in accordance with agreed targets
  • Provide a high quality and flexible Physiotherapy service to clients from marginalised backgrounds
  • Develop, review and evaluate Physiotherapy direct care and health promotion programs
  • Incorporate health education into direct care contacts

Our ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
  • At least two years clinical Physiotherapy experience
  • Proof of qualification to be sighted
  • Current registration with Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency as a Physiotherapist

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-employment declaration form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
