About the role

The Practice Excellence Coach - Occupational Therapy provides a range of clinical education interventions within their discipline, to develop and enhance clinical skill and practice outcomes, underpinned by cohealth's learning culture. A portion (0.6EFT) of this role will be dedicated to coaching with the remainder (0.4) apportioned to clinical work. There are no direct line management responsibilities with this position.

Your duties include:

• Facilitating communities of practice, clinical supervision, reflective practice and workplace coaching interventions, in accordance with cohealth's supervision Policy
• Supporting evidence-based practice
• Adopting adult learning strategies to support discipline wide development skills and service delivery
• Engaging external expertise to build internal best practice capability, where discipline wide need arises

Our ideal candidate:

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree
• Proof of qualification to be sighted
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in Occupational Therapy
• Demonstrated leadership experience

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-employment declaration form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
