Collective Fashion Justice (CFJ) is a registered charity dedicated to creating a total ethics fashion system that prioritises people, our fellow animals and the planet we share ahead of profit. We transform the fashion industry through research and report creation, public awareness and pressure campaigns, education, industry consultation and political lobbying.

As our organisation, impact and community of dedicated supporters grows, we are looking to recruit a core team of passionate people who will be instrumental in helping us scale up our operations and accelerate our impact around the world. Key to this team is a highly organised troubleshooter who operates with effortless precision and an abundance of energy in equal measure.

Position Overview

General Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Founding Director, this role will help establish, maintain and progress CFJ’s operational infrastructure and capacity, as well as provide critical support for ongoing and future campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical management of the CFJ website and its content ensuring it is up-to-date, fully functioning and well-presented
  • Support operations and production planning for major and ongoing campaigns, including through external outreach
  • Development and management of robust internal systems and organisation administration
  • Support CFJ internal communications and maintain internal databases [donor and external stakeholder lists, newsletter database, media lists, etc]
  • Support external communications across different channels (such as X, MailChimp, IG, Facebook, etc) and other external stakeholder management

Qualifications and skills preferred:

  • Understanding and interest in total ethics fashion essential

  • Experience and interest in community organising / campaigning including a former or current volunteer capacity

  • Confident in Squarespace and MailChimp - experience with Airtable and Trello is a bonus

  • Trustworthy and reliable - able to work independently with remote supervisors

  • Efficient and motivated to learn

  • Clear communicator - great attention to detail and written skills

Time: Part-time - 1 day a week (hours and days of the week are flexible)

Compensation: AUD $35 per hour

Location: Remote. Ideally based in Australia or US with flexibility for the right person

Start date: Starting in July 2024
