Last year we employed 675 people, 76% of whom experienced barriers to employment, we kept over 20,000 tonnes of waste out of landfill; we grew and distributed nearly 35,000kgs of fair food; and we provided over 67,000 community service instances to those who need it most. About the opportunity 

With a flexible work location, including working from home, you could be located in Sydney, Illawarra, Newcastle or Mid North Coast.

We are looking for an experienced, organised and dynamic Tender and Grants Lead to be at the forefront of our growth, collaborating with leaders across our organisation to prepare winning submissions.

Reporting to the Executive Team under the Marketing and Communications Manager, this role is pivotal to the ongoing success of Community Resources.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the driver: Research and identify new opportunities that align with our vision, keeping us competitive and ahead of industry trends.
  • Collaborate and inspire: Work closely with our leadership and functional managers to craft high-quality, compelling submissions that highlight our mission, operational excellence, values, and capacity to deliver real outcomes.
  • Maintain key systems and processes: Oversee our submission management systems to ensure a smooth, efficient development and submission process

About you

You are an individual with boundless energy, commitment and passion for social and environmental good. You understand the impact of quality communications in relation to business development. You are a:

  • Proven Funding Expert: You have a track record of successful tender and grant applications, preferably in the NFP or social impact sector, and know how to navigate government and commercial funding landscapes.
  • Storyteller and Strategist: Your written communication skills are top-notch, and you know how to craft a narrative that conveys our work with clarity and conviction.
  • Detail-Oriented Project Manager: You’re organised, deadline-driven, and can juggle multiple applications and reporting requirements with ease and that meet all requirements.
  • Research Enthusiast: You’re skilled in identifying funding trends and opportunities that align with our mission.
  • Systems whizz: You understand that sound systems are they key to managing great processes that support teams and enable successful work and you are the ambassador of this.

Work/life balance is important to us, so there is flexibility relating to how the week can be structured. The position is full-time, with the option of working flexibly between the office and home, with occasional travel.
