About the Role

If you are looking for a meaningful role where you can utilise your skills in social media management, website content updates, and email marketing along with your amazing communication, networking, and event promotion skills then this is the job for you!

As our Communications & Event Coordinator, you will be the voice of Community Plus+, building communication pathways between stakeholders. You'll source and deliver engaging content, manage strategic initiatives, and increase media coverage, enhancing our visibility and impact. The role will be based in Yeronga with occasional travel to our other sites. It is a part time role working 5 days across a fortnight.

You will be Responsible for

  • Developing and posting engaging social media content across platforms in line with organisational goals.
  • Maintaining and updating website content, including news, events, and resources, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Coordinating monthly e-newsletters, sourcing stories and managing distribution lists to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Cultivating media relationships, pitch story ideas, and generating positive coverage of organisational initiatives.
  • Regularly monitoring social media engagement, website traffic, and media coverage, providing monthly reports.
  • Providing communication support for key events, including promotional materials and live social media coverage.
  • Facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders, gathering content and feedback to inform strategies.

To be successful in the role you will need to;

  • Be proficient in social media management tools for scheduling and monitoring posts across platforms.
  • Understand analytics tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, and Instagram Insights to track and analyse engagement metrics.
  • Have experience with website content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Joomla to update content, add new pages, and manage multimedia assets.
