ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Children’s Services, the Coordinator is responsible for smooth operations of CFS’ out of school hours care services. One Centre is located within St Johns Park and one Centre is located within Edensor Park. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring:

  • The service’s complies with all relevant requirements of the National Law and Regulations for Early Childhood Education and Care Services as well as ensuring that policies and procedures are always implemented.
  • A friendly, secure and stimulating learning environment for all children attending the centre and to assist in the planning and implementation of programs across Children’s Services which meet the developmental, cultural and individual needs of children in care.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, healthy setting that enhances children’s autonomy, initiative, self-worth, and dignity.
  • Effective administrative and financial management of the service
  • Responsible for leading, supporting and mentoring the team to ensure that a high-quality educational program is developed, implemented and documented to meet the ‘My Time Our Place’ school age care framework.

This role involves you to be included in the centre Educator ratio during service operating hours, with additional hours to complete administrative tasks. Broken shift allowance applied.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Relevant qualification including Certificate IV/Diploma in School Age Education and Care, Diploma in Early Childhood
  • Previous work experience in the Children’s Services sector with a proven track record in managing a small team of Educators
  • Demonstrated experience to achieve outcomes according to tight timeframes, deadlines and project plans is highly regarded.

You will also require current First Aid, CPR, unrestricted Driver’s License, valid Working with Children’s Check and a National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check.
