The role

This is a permanent, full time role based in our Newcastle West Office, the role of the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Vacancy Coordinator is to provide person-centred services to HIP internal and external stakeholders, and manage vacancies across all SDA programs.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager with a proven track record in the fast-paced real estate industry, or related adaptable skills and experience as this role’s main focus is to identify eligible participants to fill vacancies and expanding the participant base to match people to our properties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leasing properties, finding high quality tenants, networking, and establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase property leasing rates and occupancy rates
  • Conduct market research on participant demand,
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimise vacancy rates and increase conversion rates,
  • Represent HIP at various networking events, disability expos
  • Build and maintain relationships with disability support workers, hospital to home coordinators, NDIS accommodation officers and other stakeholders
  • Assess SDA participant applications based on eligibility
  • Coordinate marketing of vacancies, EOI, direct mail out, maintain enquiry database, SDA open homes and events for new developments
  • This role is expected to increase our SDA participant transitions from 50 per quarter to 70 per quarter

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Business Development in the real estate industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in leasing properties and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to travel where required across NSW, QLD, ACT & VIC
