Hand Brake Turn is a 5-week pre-accredited automotive work skills training program providing opportunities for young people coming out of youth justice or disengaged with their school or community to gain a renewed sense of purpose. Since its establishment in 1994, the program has seen more than 10,000 young people complete the course, building life skills, confidence, and job readiness.

The Hand Brake Turn Administration Officer is an exciting new role created to support the program, team, and young people with a people-centered approach. Responsibilities include building positive relationships with key program partners and supporting the development and improvement of administrative processes. This front-of-house role will play a part in imparting hope by creating a friendly, warm, and safe environment for young people participating in Hand Brake Turn. The Administration Officer will also play a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring data integrity, and handling funds associated with various aspects of the program.
