Youth Access Clinician - Port Augusta

The role:

  • Part-time (67.5 hours per fortnight) - Mon to Fri
  • Permanent position based at headspace Port Augusta
  • Build effective rapport with clients by providing a safe, inclusive and professional environment.
  • Conduct initial screening assessments, including a risk assessment and formulate a case plan in collaboration with the client.
  • Develop initiatives and strategies to assist in engaging and linking young people with supports, including group activities and facilitating groups.
  • Develop relationships with schools and community service providers and establish therapeutic group activities in schools and in the community.
  • An innovative service in headspace that aims to provide young people and families with timely services that meet their needs.

About you:

  • Qualified and experienced Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Mental Health Nurses.
  • Full registration with relevant authority (AHPRA or AASW).
  • National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check and a valid SA drivers licence are requirements of this role.

About us:

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples' wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.
