Camp Quality delivers services and programs free of charge for kids (0-15) and their families at every stage of the cancer experience.

We start meetings with something called Fun Therapy. Fun Therapy creates laughter and positive emotions. It doesn't have to take long or be overly complicated; it could be anything from a quick quiz to a game of heads and tails. Occasionally, we schedule in Fun Therapy Activities to bond us as a team, while at other times we may break out into a spontaneous fun activity.  

About the Role

The Family Program Coordinator is part of the Services & Programs team and you will coordinate the delivery of Camp Quality's Family Programs, ensuring that the programs are consistent, high quality, safe and responsive to the needs and expectations of customer (families) and stakeholders.

  • Work in an established team offering a supportive and collaborative approach.
  • Engage and support families - actively promoting program registration, managing program enquiries and undertaking appropriate referrals to other service providers.
  • Be the key liaison for hospitals and other NFPs within an allocated geographical region.
  • Plan and develop the program calendar and coordinate program / event logistics.
  • Ensure risk and compliance processes / procedures have been implemented on all programs.
  • Coordinate the recruitment, training and onboarding of program volunteers.

Experience and Knowledge

  • 2+ years' experience in event coordination / delivery.
  • Prior experience recruiting, training, and working with volunteers.
  • Prior experience within a Not For Profit organisation, or working with families affected by serious illnesses will be highly regarded.

Qualifications and Training

  • Qualifications and or experience in event management, project management, or similar.

Other requirements for this role:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Highly organised and adaptable with the ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and successfully coordinate multiple tasks.
  • A demonstrated willingness to work as a collaborative team member.
  • The willingness to adhere to Camp Quality's WHS plans, policies and procedures.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Some out-of-hours work will be required for program attendance.
  • Some inter / intra state travel may be required.
