Community Services Directorate (CSD) is seeking applications for an Assistant Director in the Office for Women to lead work to develop and implement programs to support women, girls and gender diverse people who align themselves with this group in the ACT.
The Assistant Director role supports the Director and/or the Senior Director, Office for Women and Youth Engagement. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing program development and delivery and/or policy development, preparing documents to support ACT Government briefing, reporting and budget processes and supporting high-level decision making.
The role requires highly developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. The role also includes overseeing the delivery of, and occasionally delivering, programs and events.
This role includes staff supervision. The role also involves working in and managing staff in a hybrid working arrangement, and the need to oversee and deliver programs and events in person.

Note: This position will be in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
