THE ROLE

  • 45.6 hours per fortnight
  • Flexible hours for the right candidate
  • Merriwa location
  • Role funded to 30 June 2022

The Finance Administrator will be required to assist with the process and maintenance of financial, accounting, and administration functions. Duties include:

  • Responsible for accurately maintaining and updating all accounts payable / receivable records
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll in line with the delegation of authority and statutory deadlines
  • Issue monthly debtor statements
  • Responsible for BAS quarterly and IAS monthly preparation
  • Responsible for providing administrative support for weekly payment runs to creditors.
  • Responsible for superannuation reporting and payments
  • Assist the organisation to meet its taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations
  • Manage and respond to any payroll related queries
  • Asset management

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Finance or any other related discipline
  • Hold an Associate Diploma or degree in Accounting.
  • Have experience in a similar finance role.
  • Have solid MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, SUM and IF.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Experiences

  • Previous experience in finance or accounting management or any other similar role related to providing financial support.
  • Experience processing payroll and a strong understanding of payroll entitlements.
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills to develop good working relationships with senior executives, managers, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage own workload, manage a range of activities and competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Experience using MYOB & Xero
  • Well-developed skills and experience in data analysis and collation of financial data

REGISTRATIONS AND LICENCES REQUIRED

  • National Police Clearance – no older than 3 months
  • Current WA Driver’s license
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Proof of right to work in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate, Visa)
  • Current First Aid certificate (including CPR)
