Dambimangari are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage the internal financial operations of the Corporation from Derby, Western Australia.
The Finance Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting and finance operations of Dambimangari Aboriginal Corporation (DAC), ensuring financial health and stability through reporting, budgeting and compliance. Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, the role will ensure the Integrity, efficiency and accuracy of the Corporation’s financial operations and information.

Dambimangari Aboriginal Corporation (DAC) provides a unique opportunity to work closely with Aboriginal people in one of the most remote, spectacular regions of the Kimberley. DAC is a small Aboriginal Corporation dedicated to the benefit of our members, Dambimangari Traditional Owners. DAC is the governing body for all Dambimangari business on behalf of our members, and in line with traditional Law and Culture. We employ more than 30 staff, the vast majority of whom are Traditional Owners. The Corporation’s key functions include:
You will be an experienced Finance Manager with strong financial management competency and problem-solving skills and systems expertise with MYOB and TANDA. Ideally, you will have a background as an Accountant (CPA; CA) and/or as a well-rounded Finance Manager who will be comfortable working in a cross-cultural setting. You will be keen to further develop your knowledge of Indigenous culture and excited to live in and explore the remote Kimberley region.
