Reporting to the CEO the Chief Operating Officer- Tranquillity Care Services (COO-TCS) leads the key NDIS functions of Tranquillity Care Services (TCS) and is responsible managing and growing the NDIS funded disability services provided by the organisation with a focus on managing end-to-end care services and community access.

A key objective of the role is to ensure effective and positive outcomes for clients and their families and ensures compliance with all aspects of NDIS standards and all other legal and contractual compliance requirements to contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation including input and advice to support organisational strategy and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish organisational structure and operating systems to ensure achievement of strategic direction;
  • Translate Tranquillity Care Services vision and strategy into organisational policies, directives and procedures consistent with LDDSWQL policy and procedures;
  • Set and review Tranquillity Care Services performance targets;
  • Ensure that core business processes are in place and working effectively; and
  • Serve as internal spokesperson for corporate messages.

Deliverables in the first 1-3 years are:

  • Continued sustainable growth;
  • Delivery of high quality services;
  • Building the best NDIS network in the region; AND
  • Develop new services.

To be considered for this highly impactful role you will satisfy the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Science /Community Services/ Health and demonstrated experience in managing and leading a complex service with a diverse client base;
  • A sound understanding and experience managing an NDIS service provider;
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience working within the NDIS space including accommodation, coordination of supports, community access and psychosocial packages;
  • A high level consultation skills and experience consulting with people with disabilities, their families and guardians;
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer service and customer satisfaction
  • High level management skills that support staff and create a culture that fosters learning, hope and curiosity;
  • Ability to manage funded programs, attend to reporting requirements & meet reporting deadlines;
  • Experience in managing the efficiency of programs; and
  • Sound understanding of Disability Service Standards, Mental Health Standards and the associated legislation.
