Youth Live4Life is a registered health promotion not for profit organisation dedicated to improving rural youth mental health and suicide prevention through its award-winning, community-grown Live4Life model. Having impacted over 24,000 young people and more than 2,800 adults across 14 rural communities in Victoria and Tasmania, the organisation is scaling its reach to create broader, lasting change across rural and regional Australia. Live4Life has been recognised by the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System as an innovative, evidence-based solution to youth mental health challenges. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Strategy & Impact (Deputy CEO) will play a key role in the organisation's leadership team, guiding and empowering four direct reports. This senior position involves overseeing the strategic expansion of the Live4Life model across rural and regional Australia, ensuring program fidelity, and managing stakeholder engagements with local, state, and federal governments, as well as funders and partners. The Deputy CEO will be responsible for managing operations and community engagement, while supporting the CEO in promoting the Live4Life brand and generating revenue to drive organisational growth. This is an opportunity to lead strategic initiatives and help shape the future of rural youth mental health and suicide prevention across Australia.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and confident leader with a proven track record in community development and conducting impact evaluations. You are a passionate advocate for mental health and have a deep desire to make real and true impact in the lives of young people living in rural and regional communities. You ideally have experience working within community development, mental health, health promotion, or the youth services sector, or at a minimum have worked in the not-for-profit sector in a community development related role. You are a natural at strengthening relationships with various stakeholders and community organisations, have strong business acumen and are a creative problem solver. This role requires flexibility and some occasional state and interstate travel.
