About the Role

This is a part time position (0.7FTE or 28 hours per week).

As the successful candidate you will use your broad range of skills to mobilise DEA’s members and campaign for change.

Working collaboratively with a small staff and DEA members, you will help to enable the trusted voices of doctors to raise awareness of the health threats of climate change and the health benefits of climate change action, and influence decision makers to achieve change.

You will also play a developmental role in the organisation by mobilising DEA’s membership and providing them with opportunities for
campaigning in their communities and electorates.

As Campaigns Coordinator you will:

  • Facilitate and develop DEAs campaigning strategy that has both an on-ground and digital presence
  • Develop the planning and implementation of an electorate-based campaign.
  • Work with, and support, DEA member campaigners to develop and implement campaigns
  • Develop and work within alliances that might form part of a broader campaign
  • Use key metrics to track progress of the campaign
  • Provide opportunities for DEA members to participate in campaigning
  • Conduct online and in-person training and briefings for DEA members, and develop appropriate materials

This position will require frequent travel as all states and territories will be visited as part of this National campaign leading up to the Federal Election.

While DEA's national office is in Melbourne, applicants from other states are encouraged to apply due to the nature of this role, and the requirement for frequent travel.
