Our client has an exciting opportunity for either a graduate or experienced Adult Occupational Therapist North of Brisbane (covering the area from Strathpine and Caboolture) and will consider candidates who are seeking either part-time or full-time hours. 

The not-for-profit organisation was founded to address the health care needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Southeast Queensland.

They are dedicated to providing comprehensive primary health care services in a coordinated and integrated manner.

About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll work in a supportive and inclusive environment, focusing on connection and teamwork. Your primary objective will be to deliver culturally appropriate OT services to Indigenous communities as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This may involve managing a diverse caseload catering to adult clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an adult caseload with home visits and internal funding structures
  • Providing clinic-based services with opportunities for home visits
  • Offering short-term and long-term support to clients including NDIS clients
  • Collaborating with various disciplines in a supportive environment
  • Receiving support from allied health assistants

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Current Yellow Card – Disability Worker Screening Clearance (Prior to Commencement)
  • Current Qld C Class Driver's Licence
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates (Willingness to obtain)

Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is advantageous.
