Their model of care offers a more holistic and culturally safe and supportive wrap around service. 

In this role, you will provide collaborative, integrated, and holistic perinatal emotional health and wellbeing services to a diverse client base in a supportive, community driven environment. Your goal is to enhance the emotional health and wellbeing of parents and caregivers, helping them navigate the challenges of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of mental health issues during pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period, including maternal and infant health, and parenting.
  • Participate in case conferencing, clinical reviews, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Identify and support women and families impacted by trauma, working both individually and in groups to enhance parenting capacity.
  • Case manage complex families, facilitating integration and linkages to appropriate services and supports.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive client files, including assessment documentation, treatment plans, therapeutic interventions and outcome measurements.
  • Advocate for clients, ensuring they receive the best care and support.
  • Conduct home and community visits as required.
  • Maintain accurate client records and collate statistical information for reporting purposes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Psychology with full AHPRA Registration
  • Eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number.
  • A current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) and the willingness to travel between clinics when required.

Desirable

  • Experience in perinatal mental health
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

Location

  • Strathpine with one day in the Caboolture clinic
