ABOUT THE ROLE

Dress for Success NSW & ACT (DFS NSW&ACT) is seeking a motivated and digitally savvy Communications and Fundraising Coordinator to directly support our Marketing and Fundraising teams through administrative, communications, social media, and events tasks.

This role will support DFS NSW&ACT communications through designing and posting social media content, and coordinating client, donor, and survey EDMs. Additionally, this role will coordinate ticketing and scheduling for fundraising events, oversee corporate clothing donations and assist with grant reporting.

The Communications and Fundraising Coordinator will also be responsible for entering data related to events, communications and fundraising in the CRM.

Based in Summer Hill (Sydney), this role is a part-time position working 24-30 hours per week with a minimum of 3 days working in the office. Flexible work hours and salary packaging are available. This is a 12-month contract position, with the possibility of a permanent role.

Dress for Success NSW&ACT is a registered charity that improves the employability of disadvantaged women, trans women, and non-binary people comfortable in women’s spaces who are in need across NSW and ACT. This is achieved by providing, free of charge, professional clothing, a network of support, coaching and career development tools to help women achieve self-sufficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co-ordinate and implement EDMs with DFS program leads, including collecting content, editing, and sending.
  • Assisting with the management of various mailing lists and ensuring compliance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Coordinate online ticketing for fundraising events.
  • Create, plan, upload, and schedule social media content for promoting client services, fundraising campaigns, events, and other topics as needed on all social platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
  • Assist with the implementation of paid advertising on all online platforms.
  • Create visual and text content for all communications channels, including social media, website, EDMs, and printed collateral.
  • Coordinate and respond to all general fundraising enquires.
  • Undertake all fundraising administrative tasks.
  • Support the Partnerships and Fundraising Manager to identify relevant grant opportunities, prepare and submit grant applications, and complete grant acquittals on-time.
  • Coordinate corporate clothing donation drives, including managing enquiries, invoicing, and drop-off service.
  • Collate and enter data related to communications, events and fundraising in Salesforce CRM.
  • Support DFS NSW&ACT management team with other communications and fundraising support as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a communications and marketing administrative support role.
  • Experience in collating and sending EDMs through platforms such as MailChimp or Pardot.
  • Advanced social media skills with demonstrated experience creating, posting, and scheduling regular content and campaigns on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Medium to high level Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Previous experience using Canva for designing content.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset and strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with initiative and creativity.
  • Passion and/or interest in the mission of supporting women.
  • Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience supporting fundraising and partnership teams and initiatives.
  • Experience with paid online ad campaigns, including paid social media ads and Google Ads.
  • Basic website editing skills and experience with Wordpress and/or Funraisin.
  • Previous experience with report writing.
  • Previous experience working in not-for-profit sector.
