Directions’ multidisciplinary service delivery team includes a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Social Workers, Counsellors, Aboriginal Health Workers, Case Managers, Peer Workers, Support Workers, GPs, Registered Nurses, Pharmacists and Chemical Analysts. Our capacity to implement innovative services developed in collaboration with our clients, partners, and other stakeholders, enables us to effectively respond to the changing needs of the communities we serve.
Arcadia House is a 12-bed Therapeutic Community (TC) rehabilitation facility offering residential, withdrawal and day programs to support clients abstain from AOD use. As a TC, the house community itself, through self-help and mutual support, is the principal means for promoting personal change for Arcadia clients. Arcadia offers clients case management, counselling, therapeutic groups, and relapse prevention services to support them through recovery. Arcadia House and the broader Directions team strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment where all employees and clients feel valued and supported.
This position involves providing overnight support to Arcadia House residents and informing clients about programs provided by Directions and other AOD organisations and support services. We are seeking people who are motivated to participate in continuous quality improvement and safety initiatives and who understand the importance of client confidentiality and professional boundaries. We provide generous casual penalty rates and ongoing training and development opportunities that will be highly valuable for your career in AOD, Mental Health and other sectors.
Arcadia House is a 24-hour residential facility and you will be required to work night shifts and weekends.
All appointments will be conditional upon having a Working with Vulnerable People registration, current First Aid and CPR certification and a satisfactory National Police Check.
