Are you an experienced psychologist looking for a chance to supervise and influence the next generation of counsellors within a community-based agency? If so, then this might be the role for you.

Reporting to the CEO your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Providing individual and group supervision to a thriving team of volunteer counsellors and students on placement.
• Facilitating regular supervisor’s peer supervision meetings.
• Undertake recruitment for the counselling program.
• Assist with referrals, assessments and support of client work as necessary and support the intake team.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Extensive clinical experience and demonstrated ability in working with a broad range of clients and a broad range of issues.
• Demonstrated experience in group and individual clinical supervision coupled with the ability to motivate and mentor staff and build an effective team with a culture of high performance.
• Demonstrated high level risk management and safety planning knowledge and skills.
• Thorough understanding of the drivers of family violence and of best practice in supporting victim survivors of family violence.
• A capacity to articulate frameworks and to develop appropriate interventions.

This role is classified at SCHADS Level 7. We are looking for 0.6 FTE (22.8 hours per week) however if the right person was also interested in management responsibility, then we have scope to increase these hours in order to expand our program.
