Remote / Work from Home
Down Syndrome Australia (DSA) is a non-profit organisation and is the national peak organisation for people with Down syndrome and their families. DSA advocates for people with Down syndrome to be included in our communities. All our work is informed by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We are part of a strong and unified Federation of Down Syndrome organisations which work together to support people with Down syndrome and their families across Australia. DSA is well respected internationally; in 2024 Australia will host the World Down Syndrome Congress.
This is a great opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation with an inclusive culture and accomplished team. DSA has had strong growth and development and we are looking for a strategic leader to take the organisation to the next level.
DSA plays a significant role in the disability advocacy sector through effective relationships and collaboration with Ministers, government departments and a range of organisations. We lead national projects focused on capacity building, information provision, and self-advocacy.
The incoming CEO will consolidate and continue the growth of the organisation, retaining and attracting funding to ensure its policy, advocacy, information, and capacity building continues. The CEO will continue to have a powerful national impact and deliver DSA’s Strategic Plan.
This position comes with salary sacrificing options, the ability to work remotely and flexible working hours.
People with lived experience of disability are encouraged to apply for this position.
