About the role

As an Occupational Therapist at Fountain Gate Secondary College with headspace, you’ll be at the heart of fostering student success. You will:
- Support students in thriving academically and socially by enhancing their participation in classroom and school-based activities
- Assess physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and sensory performance areas to pinpoint how they affect students' school experiences
- Utilise a range of therapies and behavioural strategies to break down barriers and boost student involvement
- Manage a caseload of students requiring counselling, respond to urgent disclosures, and work with various stakeholders to provide holistic care
- Modify classroom activities and environments to accommodate diverse needs and promote optimal learning conditions
- Teach emotional regulation and social skills, and support families as required

About you
You’re a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a passion for student development and a flair for creating positive change. You bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
- In-depth knowledge of occupational therapy practices and childhood development
- Exceptional listening and communication skills enabling you to connect with students and collaborate effectively with a team
- The ability to manage own workload autonomously, prioritise tasks, and adapt strategies to meet diverse needs
