About the program

At headspace Casey Cardinia, our School Services Team plays a crucial role in supporting young people across the Casey and Cardinia region. We provide a range of programs that offer flexible, accessible mental health services within schools and our headspace centres in Narre Warren and Pakenham. From face-to-face sessions to telehealth and outreach options, we ensure young people receive the support they need, wherever they are.

About the role

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team of clinicians dedicated to enhancing youth mental health in schools? As our Senior Clinician/Coordinator – School Services, you will oversee a variety of programs aimed at providing timely, evidence-based interventions.

Working closely with our Clinical Lead, you'll manage clinical governance, supervise our dedicated school-based clinicians, and ensure seamless service delivery across multiple settings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical oversight and supervision to clinicians in fee-for-service and fixed-term funded school programs
  • Managing referrals and coordinating clinical support for schools and young people
  • Chairing clinical reviews and supporting student placements within the school services stream
  • Leading recruitment efforts and contributing to professional development initiatives
  • Representing headspace at school networks and community engagements
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Contributing to the refinement and continuous improvement of our School Services stream

About you

You’re a qualified clinician dedicated to youth mental health and early intervention. You possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling, Social Work, or a related discipline
  • Proven track record in clinical supervision, intake assessments, and delivering evidence-based therapies to young people and families
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills fostering strong relationships with diverse stakeholders: youth, families, schools, and community agencies

With a thorough understanding of mental health systems and service delivery frameworks, you ensure services align with best practices and legislative requirements. Your commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to core values makes you an ideal fit for our collaborative team.
