EACH is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our Oral Health Program and provide leadership to a team of skilled dental assistants working across multiple locations.

About the Oral Health Team at EACH

At EACH, it’s our people who make the difference. Our oral health team includes a diverse range of professionals—dentists, dental therapists, prosthetists, and dental assistants—who work together to deliver high-quality dental services in a friendly and supportive environment. Our services are offered at our Ferntree Gully and Ringwood clinics, with outreach programs that extend into the community. Together, we strive to help our clients achieve better oral health outcomes.

The Role

As the Team Leader, you will take charge of leading and supporting the dental assisting staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. Your role will focus on fostering a culture of safety, respect, and collaboration while maintaining the highest standards of infection control, patient flow and service quality.

Your Day Will Consist Of

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, including rostering and developing procedures.
  • Leading the dental assistant team to deliver effective, high-quality care.
  • Coordinate the Trainee Dental Assistant Program to ensure skill development.
  • Conduct workforce and succession planning for smooth clinic operations.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilisation standards.
  • Lead quality and safety initiatives, including hand hygiene audits and Aseptic Non-Touch Technique training.
  • Collaborate with the Oral Health Services Manager to meet performance targets.
  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Assist in budget planning and monitor clinic performance.

You are a motivated leader who thrives in a team environment and has a passion for community health. Your leadership experience in dental services and your ability to motivate, support, and guide staff will make you a key player in the success of our Oral Health Program.

Your Skills & Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Sterilisation and Dental Assisting.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in public dental clinics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in quality and safety initiatives, including hand hygiene auditing.
  • Advanced clinical competence in delivering public dental services.
  • Intermediate IT skills and experience with workforce planning.
