About the role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have strong leadership skills and experience in mental health services? headspace Casey Cardinia is seeking dedicated professional to lead our dynamic Intake & Brief Intervention team.

As the Intake & Brief Intervention Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality services to young people in the Narre Warren and Pakenham areas. This position is essential for ensuring that our intake processes are efficient, effective, and empathetic, providing timely and appropriate support for young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and streamline the intake process to ensure swift and efficient service access
  • Deliver evidence-based brief interventions tailored to the unique needs of young people and their families
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with local stakeholders to enhance client pathways and collaborative care
  • Provide clinical and operational guidance to your team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with key performance indicators
  • Maintain accurate client records and reporting processes, ensuring adherence to privacy laws and regulations.

You will work closely with our Clinical Lead to manage clinical systems, oversee risk management, and contribute to the senior leadership team’s strategic direction.

About you

You’re a compassionate and skilled leader with a strong commitment to youth mental health. You bring:

  • A minimum Diploma level qualification in Youth Work, Occupational Therapy, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in assessing and treating young people with mental health challenges, including advanced risk assessment skills and knowledge of diverse treatment modalities
  • A thorough understanding of child and youth mental health, primary health care, and relevant legislation
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with expertise in managing client data and navigating electronic systems
  • Familiarity with the headspace National key priority groups is advantageous
