The Organisation

Easy Care Gardening (ECG) is a Non-for-Profit (NFP) Charity, who has been providing gardening services to older people since 1988. ECG is a My Aged Care provider funded under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).

ECG helps to maintain the gardens of older people within the Hornsby, Hunters Hill, Ku‑ring‑gai and Ryde areas through a dedicated team of horticulturalists, gardeners, and volunteers. Our Horticulturalists, Gardeners and team of volunteers have provided the gardening services to enable our clients to remain in their homes and enjoy their garden with a level of independence.

The role

Our organisation is seeking a part-time Administration Assistant to maintain day-to-day office functions, assist with the My Aged Care Portal and attend to incoming communications via phone and email. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team with the ability to work autonomously at times.

The ability to multitask, prioritise work and provide administrative support is essential in this position.

The ideal candidate for this job is proactive, a good problem solver and organised. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.

The Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in similar generalist business administration role;
  • Strong administrative skills;
  • Experience and efficiency with Microsoft Office applications;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure;
  • Excellent computer literacy skills and confidence and capability in using systems and technology.

Desirable

  • Understanding &/or experience working for Not for Profit Organisation’s;
  • Previous experience working with the aged or people with a disability;
  • Tertiary level qualification in Business Administration or related discipline;
  • Experience with My Aged Care portal (MAC);
  • Experience working with accounting software Xero.
