A Senior Campaigner is a multi-talented generalist, responsible for devising, coordinating and delivering strategies, campaigns and projects as new opportunities arise and existing initiatives develop. This role will engage with stakeholders at senior levels, create effective communications and mobilise people to win campaigns and grow the organisation.
The Environment Centre NT is the peak environmental organisation in the Northern Territory (NT). We have been working to protect the NT environment since 1983.
ECNT is an exciting and dynamic organisation, with an extraordinary impact locally and nationally. We have undergone a period of growth in recent years, and we are now leading some of the most important campaigns in the country.
We are the trusted, independent, voice on environmental issues in the NT and we fearlessly hold governments and industry to account in pursuit of our vision. We have expanded rapidly in the last few years in response to escalating environmental threats (including the climate and extinction crises). We are currently running a number of cutting-edge campaigns across our key strategic work themes: mining, climate, freshwater and biodiversity that require a sophisticated and multi-layered communications strategy. For more information, please visit our website: www.ecnt.org.au.
ECNT acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the unceded lands and waters upon which we work and their role in caring for country for millennia, now, and into the future.
The Environment Centre NT is looking for an experienced Campaigner to lead our new Renewables and Climate Justice Team.
The Campaigner will work with local communities, organisations and the ECNT team to lead the development and implementation of a campaign designed to speed the just transition to renewables in the NT.
