- Seeking a part-time (three days a week) National Support Program Manager to join EDFA’s leadership team
- $51,000 for 0.6 FTE role plus superannuation and salary packaging
EDFA is the only national organisation focused solely on families and carers of those living with eating disorders. A not-for-profit organisation supported by a high calibre Board, EDFA provides support, education, advocacy, and counselling services to families and carers who are supporting someone with an eating disorder. Our fully remote working team is located around Australia. This part-time role (0.6 FTE) can be undertaken from anywhere in Australia and flexible working arrangements are on offer. You'll be supported by an Administration Assistant.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure Program activities and outcomes are meeting key performance indicators and are aligned with EDFA’s 2024-28 Strategic Plan
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships by meeting with key eating disorder and carer organisations, clinicians, and other relevant services
- Manage risk and governance, including continuous updating of the Support Program Risk Management Framework, monthly updates to the EDFA Board, and implementation of projects to reduce EDFA’s risk
- Work with other EDFA Program Managers to ensure delivery of cohesive and strategically aligned services
- Manage approximately 25 volunteers, including supervision program for facilitators, and ensuring training manuals reflect current practices
- Adhere to all EDFA and National Support Program policies and procedures
Skills, qualifications and experiences - Essential
- Bachelor degree in Mental Health, Public Health, or allied health
- Demonstrated experience in risk and governance management
- Knowledge of carer peer support, and ability to implement effective peer support practices to enhance the National Support Program
- Strong belief that recovery from an eating disorder is possible, and positive, hopeful and non-judgmental approach to eating disorder recovery
- Experience in working with stakeholders for service delivery
- Ability to meet deadlines, and submit various types of Program reports
- Strong attention to detail, ability to utilise data to inform decision-making
Skills, qualifications and experiences – Desired
- Lived experience of caring for someone with an eating disorder
- Understanding of the eating disorder sector
- Experience in managing similar programs in the not-for-profit or for-profit sectors
- Ability to facilitate evening support groups when required
