The Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) is looking for a dedicated and proactive person to join our small, friendly team as Program Officer.

A fulltime role with hybrid benefits and a competitive salary, this is initially a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave, but there is a likelihood of extension or permanency.

EIANZ is the leading professional association for environmental practitioners, supporting members and certified professionals throughout their careers. We represent over 3,500 members and certified environmental practitioners internationally, and are part of a global network of over 100,000.

Our flagship program, the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme (CEnvP), is recognised for ensuring ethical and professional practice, assuring government, industry, and the community of practitioners' professional standing.

As a Program Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the CEnvP Scheme. This role involves a blend of administrative tasks, governance, compliance, and engaging with our dedicated volunteer stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to exciting business initiatives and projects, enhancing our operational efficiency.

Essential requirements:

  • At least three years’ work experience in similar roles
  • Self-motivated approach that is:
    • Collaborative, supportive, and inclusive
    • Ethical, discrete, accountable, and professional
    • Innovative, flexible, and proactive.
