EllieB’s is a registered NDIS provider, profit-for-purpose organisation that has been around for over 45 years. We specialise in providing permanent and short term supported accommodation, respite, and day options services for people with a developmental disability.
Our Vision is to passionately support individuals and their families to lead fulfilled lives.
We’re responsible, and take seriously, the needs of all children and young people in our care, and provide safe, stable and nurturing care environments.
EllieB’s is seeking an experienced Chairperson to join our Board of Directors. We are looking to appoint a volunteer Chairperson to help us build on the success we have achieved as a registered NDIS Provider. We are a carer-led Board who values lived experience of disability and an understanding of the profit for purpose environment. We have established a group of paid Advisors who provide expert advice and guidance to the Board of Directors in relation to business, financial and legal matters as required.
At its core, the board chair role oversees meetings and ensures all other board members are fulfilling expectations.
In particular, the following skills and experience are highly regarded:
Board meetings occur monthly on the last Tuesday of each month. The Board currently meets later in the afternoon, 11 times per year and the average meeting duration is approximately 2 hours. Reports and Agenda are emailed 7 days prior to each meeting. Participation is also required for annual strategic planning, AGM, and special projects from time to time.
Attendance is preferably in person. However, we can accommodate attendance via video. We provide a laptop and @elliebs email for all Board members.
If you’re up for the challenge, we would be delighted to receive your application via the Apply Now link.
EllieB’s is an equal-opportunity employer. We strongly encourage women, people with disability and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
