About The Opportunity

WorkCom currently has multiple opportunities for a Vocational Services Manager to join the team in capital cities across Australia on a Full-Time ongoing basis.

Reporting to the General Manager of Rehabilitation Services, you will be responsible for assisting the operations managers to deliver best practice rehabilitation services by providing quality assurance, coaching, mentoring, supervision and training to rehabilitation consultants and employment consultants.

You will also be responsible for being an expert around the subject matter of vocational rehabilitation services and possessing a deep understanding of the workers compensation, CTP insurance, DVA, life insurance rehabilitation services and employment services industries.

Some of your key duties will include, but will not be confined to:

  • Developing and reviewing comprehensive rehabilitation plans to guide return to work and/or recovery;
  • Assisting in the recruitment and selection of employees and contractors to deliver high quality rehabilitation services to our customers and clients;
  • Ensuring efficient and careful use of company resources and assets;
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, contractual requirements and company policies and processes;
  • Facilitating an environment that ensures all team members and colleagues are treated with dignity and respect and without harassment or discrimination; and
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing and business development activities.

About You

To be considered for this role you must have a relevant degree in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling or equivalent in addition to 5+ years of experience within the industry.

Another mandatory requirement for the role is that as a Psychologist, you are AHPRA registered, or as a Rehabilitation Counsellor you are ASORC accredited. It is also necessary that you possess or are eligible for a Comcare workplace rehabilitation provider accreditation and a DVA rehabilitation services provider accreditation. It is important to know that candidates with post graduate qualifications in occupational rehabilitation or equivalent will be highly regarded.

Along with qualifications it is important that you have a comprehensive understanding of compensation schemes, life insurance rehabilitation services, CTP rehabilitation services, DVA rehabilitation or related services. You will also require skills in computer software programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite & practice management software such as Case Manager.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal communication skills, they will be highly organised personally in addition to possessing the ability to organise a team in efforts to lead, coach & develop others. Please note: It is also essential that you possess the eligibility to work permanently within Australia in addition to an Australian Drivers License.
