About The Role

The Commercial Business Partner is responsible for partnering with executives and Leaders within the Work portfolio and key stakeholders to provide financial management advice and operational decision support. Duties include:

  • Co-ordinate and improve accounting processes, assist the planning and implementation of systems and conduct process change to improve business outcomes and financial integrity
  • Assist with the standardisation of procedures and reporting within the Financial Planning & Performance team including consolidation of finance business reports
  • Provide financial participation to the business on various improvement projects and ad hoc business improvements.
  • Assist with project financial control and reporting of all projects that involve the use of financial information, ensuring that commitments are properly monitored and reported.
  • Contribute to the production and integrity of monthly management accounts for Service Delivery Work Portfolio, with planning, consultation and review
  • Contribute to the monthly financial Divisional commentary including additional spotlight items for the inclusion in the Board reports
  • Assist with the preparation of group consolidated management reports in accordance with group timetable for inclusion in Board reports including consultation with stakeholders in the business

About You

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a financial role in a large organisation, ideally have manufacturing experience in a medium sized multi-site business, ERP Inventory control, Bills of Material/Product costing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate information to customers, finance and non-finance staff members
  • Ability to drive a high-performance culture and displays innovation in developing cost-effective efficient solutions
  • CA or CPA Qualification
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience and competency in accounting software packages Dynamic AX preferred and Microsoft Office suite programs
